Teaching Awards

The faculty of pathology and anatomical sciences have a long tradition of excellence in education.  In the School of Medicine, anatomical sciences is a major component of the curriculum in the first year, and pathology is a major component in the second year.

To recognize the teaching accomplishments of our faculty, the department maintains the list below of awards for teaching. Some of the most prestigious teaching awards are listed below, and faculty recipients in Pathology and Anatomical Sciences.

Recent Recipients

      ESTERLY AWARD

Dr. James A. Esterly was a long term faculty member of pathology and a practicing surgical pathologist. He was very fond of pathology residents, and dedicated a large part of his career to their education. To honor him, friends, family, and professional colleagues created the Esterly Endowment, which each year recognizes the resident physician who has contributed the most to the education of their peers in the pathology residency program.

JANE HICKMAN TEACHING AWARD
