Interests:
- In factors involved with the healing of gastric and duodenal ulcers.
- In mechanisms controlling duodenal (Brunner's) gland secretion.
- In the distribution, time of expression and function of guanylin/uroguanylin and its receptor, intestinal guanylate cyclase.
- In factors involved with sperm pairing in Didelphis virginiana and similar marsupial species.
- In continuing to study the development of tissues and organs in the opossum (Didelphis virginiana): The basic information provided by this ongoing program is serving to supply base-line data for use of the opossum as an animal model in bio-medical research.
