Personal Statement: I graduated from UCSD and decided I needed a vacation from school. So after taking 4 years off I decided to go back to medical school which landed me in Missouri. I decided to complete a pre-doctoral fellowship in pathology at MU between my 2nd and 3rd year of medical school. I fell in love with the town of Columbia, the specialty, and the residents so here I am to complete my residency. My husband and I enjoy all sorts of outdoor activities which we participate in regularly.
Hobbies: Triathlon, racquetball, rock climbing, backpacking, mountain biking
Why I chose this program: My husband and I have found a new home in Columbia and we just could not imagine moving away from the new family we have come to know here. The program itself has a wonderful network of attendings and support staff.
Professional Interests: Surgical Pathology, Transfusion Medicine, Hematopathology
Long term plans: Private practice.
